Forum in Montreal:  OPSAL co-coordinator reports on the interests and conflicts tied to Canadian lithium investments in Chile

The co-coordinator of the Plurinational Observatory of Andean Salt Flats (OPSAL) in Chile, Ramón Balcázar, presented the report «Canadian lithium investments in Chile: extractivism and conflict» at a forum held at the Université du Québec in Montreal, Canada.

OPSAL member denounces conflicts and consequences of lithium and copper megamining in the Salar de Atacama before a delegation of UK parliamentarians 

The Indígenous farmer and member of OPSAL, Rudecindo Espíndola, attended a meeting organized by the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Chile on March 9, to denounce to a delegation of parliamentarians from the United Kingdom, the conflicts that the various lithium and copper mining projects – including British capitals – have had in the Salar de Atacama.
